The Story

I'm Njanyana
"JayTee" Xaba

I have always had a deep passion for how things work behind the screen. While my formal university studies gave me a strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and Java, my true technical edge comes from the extra miles I walk outside the lecture hall.

Instead of relying solely on a syllabus, I completed numerous short courses to build up my expertise in deploying live platforms, managing custom domains, and solving the exact technical problems you will never find in a textbook. I view software development and user interface design as a digital canvas, and I want to be the greatest in the work of art I do.

🎓 Work Integrated Learning (WIL)

I'm actively seeking a WIL placement for the upcoming July – November cycle. As a third-year Diploma in ICT student at CPUT, my goal is to join a professional development team in the Cape Town or Bellville area.

I'm prepared to step out of the classroom and apply my practical experience in full-stack development to real corporate challenges. I invite you to review my official university placement letter below — let's organise something valuable together.

The Mission

Building Bridges

This platform isn't just a portfolio — it's proof that greatness can grow anywhere, especially where no one is looking.

Build Real-World Solutions

I seek developer roles not just for a job, but to get into the trenches and build innovative things that prove what's possible — regardless of where you started.

Master the Craft

Deepening my expertise in Java, Python, and JavaScript every day. A strong technical foundation is the toolbox I'll use to build opportunities for others.

Connect & Contribute

Actively participating in the tech community — absorbing knowledge, sharing my journey, and lifting someone up with every connection made.

Never Stop Learning

Tech moves fast and so do I — courses, workshops, certifications, late nights. I stay on the front line because the work demands it.

Art, Ambition & Authenticity

I love art. I'm driven by a deep desire to build something great for people like me — people who don't always have access or opportunity, who might not have the right tools, but still want to create and belong.

For me, technology is more than code: it's how I process pain and turn setbacks into something beautiful. No one truly knows how much I've given to get here — every late night, every risk, every loss has been channelled into this journey.

This isn't just about skills or a career. It's about turning struggle into innovation, and making sure that anyone who feels left out can look at my work and say: "If he can, I can too."
I'm not done yet. I'm only getting started.
